Based in Dallas, photographing everywhere
I never imagined I'd end up being a wedding photographer. I grew up thinking I'd follow my father's footsteps and become a Civil Engineer, but that doesn't mean I didn't have my mom's Minolta in my hand every chance I could. I paid attention to how things came together and how quickly they could pass if no one noticed.
Somewhere along the way, that mattered more to me than anything predictable ever could.
I realized how much we rely on photos after things change or people are gone. That shifted the way I see what is in front of me.
That is what carried me here. It is also what shapes how I photograph a wedding. I pay attention, step in when it matters, and stay out of the way when it does not.
You're probably trying to understand who i am and whether my perspective feels right to you.
I photograph weddings and people, based in Dallas. I travel often and rarely stay in one place for long.
Name:
Nine times out of ten, you'll find me at home. In the cases I'm not there you'll find me in one of three places.
1. Hiking well above sea-level
2. Arriving way too early to the airport.
3. Somewhere between a Pokemon Card Show, an antique store, and my heart specialist.
My life is honestly very simple, I keep to myself and my loved ones. But I will take a flight anywhere I haven't been in a heartbeat.

The importance of photographs hit me when I lost my grandmother. I realized how much weight a single image can carry once it is all you have left.
It became real to me in a different way when I handed off hundreds of photos to my in-laws after my ex-husband was killed. That was the turning point in how I see things as they are happening, not just after they are gone.

My grandfather was actually a Journalistic Photographer for The Washington Post, as well as a professional artist. The center photo was taken by him when I was about 3-years-old.
I've always felt a sense of belonging with a camera in my hand. Being able to document the things around me at that specific time in my life.
But that doesn't mean I'm staying off the dance floor to enjoy the moment and celebrate.

While I'm an open book (I'll literally tell you anything about my life if you ask nicely). I'm an incredibly private person.
Not every relationship, milestone, or meaningful moment needs to be shared with the entire internet to matter.
Maybe that’s part of why I care so much about what I do. Being invited into someone’s world, especially on a day as important as their wedding, is never something I take for granted.
